• Payment information: billing details processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full card number on our servers.
• Communications: messages, support requests, or feedback you send us.

Information collected automatically:

• Device information (device type, operating system, browser).
• Usage data (pages visited, features used, time spent).
• IP address and approximate location.
• Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 6).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and improve our property management platform and services.
• Process payments and manage your subscription or one-time purchases.
• Facilitate communication between landlords and prospective tenants.
• Send you transactional emails (account confirmations, receipts, rental notifications).
• Send you service-related updates and, where you have opted in, promotional communications.
• Conduct analytics to understand how our platform is used and improve user experience.
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or illegal activity.

We will not use your personal information for purposes that are incompatible with the primary purpose for which it was collected without your consent.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored using Google Firebase (Firestore, Firebase Authentication, and Firebase Storage), which operates on Google Cloud Platform infrastructure. Google Cloud has data centres in Australia (Sydney) and we endeavour to store Australian user data within Australian or regional data centres where technically practicable.

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• Encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS) for all data transfers.
• Encryption at rest for data stored in Firebase.
• Role-based access controls so that only authorised personnel can access your data.
• Firestore security rules that restrict data access to the relevant account owner or authorised participants.

While we take reasonable steps to protect your personal information, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and keep your account credentials confidential.

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

We may share your information with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate our platform, including:

• Google Firebase / Google Cloud: data storage, authentication, and infrastructure.
• Stripe: payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy applies to your payment data.
• Analytics providers: aggregated, de-identified usage analytics.
• Email service providers: transactional and notification emails.

We may also disclose your information:

• To comply with a legal obligation, court order, or lawful request from a government authority.
• To protect the rights, property, or safety of SkiptheAgent, our users, or others.

Where we share your information with landlords or tenants as part of the rental process (for example, sharing a tenant's application with the listing landlord), this is necessary to provide the service you have requested.

• Access: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Correction: ask us to correct any inaccurate or out-of-date personal information.
• Deletion: request that we delete your personal information, subject to our legal retention obligations.
• Opt-out: unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us.
• Complaint: if you believe we have breached your privacy, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
